A Bookkeeper Who Actually Listens
You got into business because you're good at what you do. Bookkeeping probably wasn't part of that picture. But someone has to reconcile the bank accounts, make sure every transaction lands in the right category, and keep the numbers straight for tax time. Right now, that someone is you.
My name is Simone, and I started Evenline for people in exactly that spot. I don't just clean up your QuickBooks and disappear until next month. I take the time to learn how your business actually works, so when I send your reports, I can tell you what matters and what to watch for.
Bookkeeping Services for Small Businesses in Columbia, SC
Bookkeeping is the work that happens between earning your money and filing your taxes. I keep your financial records accurate, organized, and up to date so your accountant gets clean numbers and you get a clear picture of how your business is actually doing.
Your Monthly (or Quarterly) Books
This is the core of what I do for every client
Transaction categorization.
Every deposit, payment, and expense in your accounts gets sorted into the right category in QuickBooks. That sounds simple, but when you've got 200 transactions a month across multiple accounts, it's the piece most business owners fall behind on first.
Bank and credit card reconciliation.
I match every transaction in QuickBooks against your actual bank and credit card statements to make sure nothing is missing, duplicated, or in the wrong place. You'll know your records are accurate, not just close enough.
Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting.
These are the reports your accountant needs at tax time, but they're also the reports that tell you whether last month was a good month or a warning sign. I don't just send them over. I review them before they get to you and flag anything you should be paying attention to.
Additional Services
Not every business needs all of these, but when you do,
they're available without shopping for a second provider.
Payroll processing.
I run your payroll through QuickBooks so your employees are paid correctly and on time, and the payroll taxes are calculated and filed.
Accounts payable.
I track what you owe, when it's due, and make sure your bills get paid on time so nothing slips through the cracks.
Sales tax reporting.
If you collect sales tax, I handle the quarterly filings so you're never scrambling at a deadline.
1099 preparation.
If you pay contractors, I prepare your 1099s at year end so you're compliant without the January panic.
QuickBooks Setup and Chart of Accounts

Starting a brand new business and don't have books set up yet? I'll build your QuickBooks file from scratch: chart of accounts, bank connections, categories all customized to your specific type of business. If you already have QuickBooks but the chart of accounts has gotten out of hand, I'll clean it up so the reports actually make sense going forward.
One important note: I'm a bookkeeper, not an accountant. I don't file taxes, provide tax advice, or handle insurance billing. What I do is make sure everything is accurate, current, and organized so when your accountant sits down to file, there's no guesswork involved. If you need a good CPA, I can point you in the right direction.
Monthly packages start at $225/month depending on your setup. See all packages and pricing →
If your books are behind by six months, a year, or longer, that's a different situation. I handle catch-up work too.
I hear it on almost every first call: "I'm so sorry, my books are a disaster." You don't need to apologize. You were busy running your business. That's the whole reason you're looking for help now.
Whether you're three months behind or three years behind, the process is the same. We figure out where things stand, clean up what needs cleaning up, and get you to a place where monthly bookkeeping can actually work.
How catch-up projects work:
Step 1:
We start with a conversation about how far behind you are, what records you have, and what state your QuickBooks is in. Sometimes it's just a few months of uncategorized transactions. Sometimes it's a shoebox situation. Either way, I've seen it before.
Step 2:
I review your accounts and give you a flat project price based on the actual scope of work. No hourly billing, no surprises, no meter running while I sort through receipts.
Step 3:
I work through the cleanup: reconciling accounts, categorizing transactions, correcting entries, rebuilding your chart of accounts if needed. However long it takes, the price stays the same.
Step 4:
Once your books are current and accurate, we move into monthly service. You pick the package that fits, and we go from there on solid ground.
If your books are behind because you're a brand new business and nothing exists yet, that's a different kind of project. I'll set up your QuickBooks from scratch, build your chart of accounts around your specific business, connect your bank accounts, and get everything organized so your first month of bookkeeping starts clean.
Catch-up and setup projects are priced separately from monthly packages. I won't quote a project price until I've actually looked at what we're dealing with, because guessing helps nobody.
Let's Start with a Conversation
The first step is a free consultation where we look at your current setup together. You tell me about your business, I ask some questions about your books, and we figure out if I'm the right fit. If I am, I'll put together a plan and a price. If I'm not, I'll tell you that too. No pressure, no commitment, no pitch. Just a conversation.
