Let's Start with a Conversation

The first step is a free consultation where we look at your current setup together. You tell me about your business, I ask some questions about your books, and we figure out if I'm the right fit. If I am, I'll put together a plan and a price. If I'm not, I'll tell you that too. No pressure, no commitment, no pitch. Just a conversation.

How Getting Started Works

I keep this simple because you've got enough going on.

1. You reach out, and we set up a time to talk.

Fill out the form on this site, send me an email, or give me a call. I respond within one business day. We'll schedule a time for a free consultation, either in person or on a video call, whichever works better for you.

2. We sit down and I learn about your business.

This is the part most bookkeepers skip. I need to understand what kind of business you run, how you get paid, what your expenses look like, and what you're trying to accomplish. I also need to know how many bank accounts and credit cards I'd be working with, whether your books are current or behind, and whether you're already on QuickBooks or starting fresh.

This conversation usually runs 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how complex your setup is. There's no charge, and you're not committing to anything by having it.

3. I review your books and put together a plan.

After we talk, I look at what you've got and figure out what needs to happen. If your books are current, we can go straight into monthly service. If they need cleanup, I'll scope that out as a separate flat-rate project. Either way, you get a clear service agreement that spells out exactly what I'm doing and what it costs. No vague proposals.

4. You sign the agreement and I get to work.

Once we agree on the scope and the price, you hand over the QuickBooks access and bank logins I need, and I start. If there's cleanup to do, that comes first. Monthly bookkeeping begins once your books are current and accurate.

5. Every month, you get reports that actually mean something.

This is where the ongoing relationship lives. I handle your books each month, and when I send your Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, I don't just attach them and move on. I review them first, and if something looks off or something looks like it deserves your attention, I'll tell you. You'll also hear from me quarterly with a bigger-picture check-in on how things are trending.

Between reporting cycles, I'm available by email or text whenever something comes up.
